Sophie Critchlow

Sophie Critchlow is a life coach and trained with CTI Co-active. With a holistic approach Sophie uses co-active coaching techniques, her intuition, humor and curiosity to support people to make positive changes to their lives.

Sophie has enjoyed a career spanning 30 years working with children, young people and adults in local communities, educational and youth settings, supporting them in their creative development through innovative arts-based programmes. Having spent the same amount of time working on her own self-development, she was drawn to life coaching as a way to get in touch with her own dreams, identify her fears and what was holding her back, and exploring new possibilities to create positive change in her life .

Wanting to bring together her wealth of experience, skills, creativity and passion for supporting others in their self-development she embarked on the path to becoming a professional coach. Having successfully completed the CTI Co-active Core Curriculum, she is now a practising self-development coach. She helps individuals and groups rediscover their dreams and create change in their own lives.

Sophie aligns herself with being authentic, inclusive, holistic, empowering and creative, and always likes to add a bit of humour into the mix. She is committed to supporting her clients to be the very best version of themselves.

Alongside her coaching Sophie is a massage therapist having qualified with ITEC Swedish therapeutic massage in 1993.

Testimonials:

Coaching with Sophie was life changing. She offered a free trial session which was a lovely, no pressure introduction and made the process of starting the 8 week course smooth and easy. I found her immediately approachable, understanding and personable. She listened attentively and was amazingly sensitive to (the) style of coaching that best suited me. Within the first session I found it incredibly easy to be honest, without holding back about the things I wanted to work on and within no time at all Sophie provided practical pointers and ways of looking at my life through a whole new lens. I came away from session one with the tools to begin tackling things I had struggled with for years.

As a complete novice to any form of coaching, I had no expectation of what lay ahead. Working with Sophie really helped me to focus at a time where I was facing a lot of challenges – finding a new job, moving house and a general lack of direction.

The work we completed over a series of months allowed me the critical space and time to look at what was important to me, focus on action plans between sessions and have myself challenged by Sophie on many occasions which I found really useful. I’d highly recommend her services to anyone hoping to make change in their life.

I found coaching a constructive, positive and life affirming way of getting myself into shape… what it helped me to see is that you often have it all there already but sometimes you need support and help to find ways to get it going in the right place or direction. Coaching helped me find ways to organise my life, support myself with problems or difficulties and congratulate myself for my achievements. Sophie was an excellent coach… I immediately felt comfortable talking and confiding in her. She gave me confidence and support to find my own solutions and techniques to run my life and deal with issues as they arise.
