Camilla

Namaste!  Thank you for visiting Rural Escapes Portugal website. I hope you decide to come and join us here, I am know you will love it 🙂

I have been teaching yoga since 2013, with my main area of interest and study being addictions and trauma.

I call my style of teaching ‘Recovery Yoga’ as I offer a safe and inclusive space for people to take time out for themselves and explore their inner selves through sharing, yoga, breath and meditation. Recovery Yoga encompasses these mindfulness approaches to help release any issues, soothe the mind, calm the nervous system, and bring flexibility to the body, helping us to face what ever we are experiencing in each moment.

The name yoga derives from the sanskrit word yuj meaning to bind or to yoke, it is a way of binding all aspects of ourselves – mind, body and spirit with our higher self, so we no longer feel disconnected.

I also offer sound healing through the gong and singing bowls.
